Inquire About Your Church Family Members Online
The Congregational Care Committee of First Presbyterian Church introduces you to and encourages the use of a free, online website called visitingOurs.com. VisitingOurs.com is one way to help our church family, along with friends and family anywhere in the world, keep up to date on the condition our friends and family who are hospitalized or recovering from a medical procedure. Created with the sensitive circumstances of its use in mind, visitingOurs reduces the burden placed on family caregivers during a medical episode while keeping those who care informed. It was recommended to the Congregational Care Committee by church members who have used it.
VisitingOurs is completely free, secure and easy to use. You can set up and update your page from any computer connected to the Internet. In three steps, a patient or a family member or friend (called a Guardian Angel) sets up a secure personal patient page where they post information and updates about the patient. VisitingOurs is Web based, therefore multiple family members, or Guardian Angels, can update their page from any computer with Internet access.
You decide who you want to know about your page. The creation of the patient page's single, common Visitor's List ensures that no matter which Guardian Angel updates your page or from where an update is posted, every concerned party will be notified and remain updated. They will be automatically notified that you created your page, given the Visitor's PIN and then alerted every time you post an update. In addition to viewing the information you have posted, the visitor can leave a confidential text message for the patient, as well as send a get-well gift.
This explanation may sound confusing; the best way to get an idea how visitionOurs.com works is by creating a patient page. |
